Inventure Academy and Delhi Public School East logged three wins on the penultimate day to seal their place in the final of the Under-14 category in the Boys’ section of the Boost BFC Inter-School Soccer Shield 2019 at the Bangalore Football Stadium, on Tuesday.
Inventure Academy sealed their top spot in Group-D with a 2-0 win over The International School Bangalore with Zabdiel and Aaryan scoring a goal each.
In the quarters, it was Zabdiel’s treble along with goals from Aaryan and Chethan helped them to a 5-1 win over Kendriya Vidyalaya Hebbal. St. Joseph’s was their opponent in the big semifinal and Aaryan took his tally to five for the day with his brace sending Inventure to the final.
Meanwhile, DPS East who began the day with a 2-0 win over St. Joseph’s after a brace from Amogh then beat Greenwood High International School with an identical scoreline after Kshitij’s double. In the semifinals, DPS East dominated Bishop Cotton Boys' School thanks to a hat-trick from Kshitij as they sealed a spot in the showpiece final.
The last day of the competition will kick off with finals in the Girls’ U10 and U12 sections followed by semifinals in the Boys’ U8, U10 and U12 sections. The afternoon session will begin with finals in the Inter-Community Cup and Dream-A-Dream Cup followed by title deciders in the Boys’ U8, U10, U12 and U14 sections.
KSFA President Shri N.A. Haris along with Bengaluru FC Head Coach Carles Cuadrat and Assistant Coach Gerard Zaragoza will grace the award ceremony later in the day.
