Churchill Brothers - Old Age Home

On the occasion of United Nations International Day of Older Persons, Churchill Brothers CEO Ms. Valanka Alemao, General Manager Frazer Alemao along with some of the clubs footballers and the children from the El Sheddai Charitable Trust, paid a visit to an Old Age Home, The Institute of Public Assistance Provedoria in Margao.

The United Nations’ (UN) International Day of Older Persons is celebrated annually on October 1 to recognize the contributions of older persons and to examine issues that affect their lives.

The event saw Ms. Valanka Alemao, distributing articles of everyday use to the older persons housed at the home. A small function was also held at the premises where the club’s forward Bineesh Balan sang an impromptu song for the entertainment of the senior citizens. This was followed by a game and the prize distribution.

Valanka Alemao said, “It was a pleasure for us to be here and bring a smile to the faces of elders who are staying here. We need to do more about our senior citizens and treat them with utmost respect.”

The footballers further distributed snacks to the senior citizens and spend time in interacting with them.
