You might have seen or heard about hooliganism in European football but it has now entered India as well. According to reports in Indian Football Network, in unprecedented scenes in Indian football, East Bengal fans took out their anger at the celebration party at Prayag United owner’s house. It was attacked by a bunch of hooligans claiming themselves to be East Bengal fans.

According to eye-witnesses present there, some East Bengal fans rushed in when Ranty Martins, with his teammates, was celebrating the IFA Shield win over East Bengal on a roof-less car. They tried to assault Ranty and also harm the prestigious trophy.

The EB fans rushed in full of sticks and stones and started hurling it towards the Prayag United players and the owner Basudeb Bagchi. They damaged the car heavily and broke the windshields, in the process also injuring the two policemen present there.

Later, police came rushing to the scene and managed to take the situation in their own hands and also arrested the three villains in this whole incident.

A police official later went on to confirm that the arrested men were indeed all East Bengal fans.
