Kolkata giants East Bengal have become the first Indian football club to cross 1 Million ‘likes’ on social media site Facebook.
The club’s official Facebook page is currently the most popular page on Indian football in Facebook and it is the third most popular amongst Asian football club pages on Facebook.
In a statement East Bengal said, “The club interacts with the fans regularly through Facebook, and the club is really excited to get so many likes on the official Facebook page.”

The official Facebook page of East Bengal was started a few years back to get more interactive and closer to the club’s fans.
