Current Jordan international and former Real Madrid and Barcelona reserves striker Tha’er Fayed Bawab has been offered to Churchill Brothers, Sporstkeeda can reveal.

The I-League holders are expected to take a decision on Bawab, who is currently playing for CS Gaz Metan Media? in the Romanian top tier, in the next few days and the player himself also has to take a decision on whether he wants to extend his stay with his current club or make a move to India.

Bawab has won 15 international caps for Jordan with his last goal coming against Oman in a World Cup qualifier in October 2012. Born in Amman, Bawab moved to Catalonia with his family when he was a child and spent a year of his youth career at Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old played for the ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams of Real Madrid and also was offered a professional contract there, but he didn’t get to play for the senior team. He also appeared for the Barcelona ‘B’ side and then had spells at lower tier Spanish clubs before moving to Romania in 2010. Bawab scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for Gaz Metan Medias in the 2012-13 season.

So far, Churchill Brothers have only finalised one foreigner, Henri Antchouet, whom they have retained from last season, while a deal for Japanese midfielder Shingo Nejime has fallen through.
