The former EPL defender has been instrumental in Bengaluru’s dream debut campaign so far as he has not only been influential at the back but also contributed with three goals. Along with Kenyan Curtis Osano, Johnson has formed the best central defensive pairing of this I-League and that has been the key for Ashley Westwood’s young squad. There haven’t been too many technically better defenders than Johnson in I-League history and Bengaluru FC fans would be hoping that the former Middlesbrough defender has an equally good second half of the season also.
