ISL 2017/18, Match 53: Jamshedpur FC vs Delhi Dynamos, 5 Talking Points

Jamshe
Jamshedpur lacked discipline in the opening stages

#3 A game far too open for Steve Coppell's liking

Coppell did not look a happy man
One could sense, Coppell was not a happy man

This season, ISL debutants, Jamshedpur have quickly earned themselves the reputation for being miserly in defence. However, none of that was visible tonight. Post Delhi's two lighting fast goals, the home side did pull one back, courtesy, captain Tiri's well-taken header.

However one could sense that Steve Coppell was not a happy man. The game was far too open for his liking. Both sides were playing end to end football from the start of the match. It was a helter-skelter dash towards goal from both teams.

While Delhi played with freedom, Jamshedpur were forced to attack given the stretched and open nature of the game. Coppell's side usually love to slow down the pace. Tonight, they rarely got the opportunity to do so. Whether they liked it or not, Jamshedpur were coerced into playing attacking football, something we've rarely seen them do this season.
