<p>

Jamshedpur FC are all set to host the 9th placed Jamshedpur FC in their 7th home game of ISL 2017/18 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. Their previous encounter ended up in a goal-less draw and both sides will be eager to win to keep their claim for the playoff spot alive.

Jamshedpur FC have a chance to climb a place in the points table with a win tonight. If Jamshedpur FC win the game tonight, NorthEast United will become the first team to get knocked out of the playoff race of ISL 2017/18.

Despite being mathematically in the playoff race, NorthEast might not qualify even after winning all of their remaining games. However, The Highlanders would like to end their season on a positive note and give their fans some moments to celebrate before wrapping up their campaign for the season.

Considering the condition of playoff table, this is a very important game for the home side and they would not want to lose against the 9th placed side at this crucial stage.

Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur FC head coach Steve Coppell has all the reasons to be proud of the recent performance of his boys as they won 4 out of their last 5 games. However, he believes that their playoff campaign doesn’t rely on just this game but will aim to give it all to secure all 3 points tonight.

As hinted by the Englishman, he is not expected to play around much with the winning combination in the business end of the season. He will continue to field his boys in the defence heavy 4-2-3-1 formation to restrict NorthEast from finding the back of the net.

Jamshedpur FC Probable Starting XI: Subrata, Souvik, Anas, Tiri, Yumnam, Bikey, Memo, Priori, Jerry, Farukh, Azuka.

NorthEast United FC

NorthEast United head coach Avram Grant believes that Jamshedpur are a strong team at the back as they have conceded the least number of goals (12) so far in the season. Despite a loss against FC Pune City in the previous game, the Israeli coach is quite satisfied with the performance of his side on the field. He hinted to play the similar game tonight as well.

With a couple of continuous injury concerns with the side, we are expecting an unchanged XI tonight against the Jamshedpur side. Grant is expected to continue his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation to nullify the opponents in the midfield area.
