What's the story? The Indian Super League (ISL) has been making waves in Indian football since its inception in 2014. The league has had some incredible moments in that time and if there is one thing that has worked to the advantage of Indian players in the league, it has to be the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the game. For Jamshedpur FC defender Anas Edathodika, this is no different. The centre-back has been a staple in the ISL for a couple of years now and his current run with Jamshedpur promises big things. The Kerala born star has now showed the world that his friendship with striker Iain Hume may even be something of note, with the two engaging in some fun-filled Twitter banter.@Humey_7 ? pic.twitter.com/mpNuZxtNXo— Anas Edathodika (@anasedathodika) December 14, 2017The response from Hume, however, was humble but equally entertaining.Think that’s the first pic I’ve seen of us, with me not getting bullied?! Hope you’re well big man?!??— Iain Hume (@Humey_7) December 14, 2017In case you didn't know...The atmosphere around ISL clubs is increasingly positive with more and more international players realising the potential in India's best talents. This has been the true essence of what the ISL has tried to portray. The heart of the matterThe Twitter banter is an example of how much football in India has changed in recent times with Anas more than confident to engage in some fun and games with his Canadian counterpart. Hume too, saw the funny side of things and in a swift move, gave Anas his due respect with regards to defending.Indian fans would be happy to see the camaraderie between two very different players from varied backgrounds building to such an extent. What's next? Both Anas and Hume are struggling with injuries, and are looking to get back to full fitness, in order to help their respective sides climb up the table.Author's takeWith players like Anas receiving roaring approvals from top strikers such as Hume, the future of Indian football looks bright indeed.
