#1 Find the right attacking combination

Slavisa Stojanovic and Matej Poplatnik scored a goal-a-piece in the first match against ATK. However, the two have lost form from the second match onwards.

Halicharan Narzary scored a goal in the match against Mumbai City FC while CK Vineeth found the back of the net in the third game against Delhi Dynamos.

It is a good thing David James and his troops that four different players have found the back of the net. However, with the Slovenian Matej struggling to find the magic touch after the first match, the onus lies on other players to score.

Kizito Keziron is a good option as is the Ghanaian footballer Courage Pekuson. Both the midfielders are known to score goals for their previous clubs and can be given more playing time.

21-year-old Sahal Abdul Samad has also been highly impressive. He got a lot of goals for Kerala Blasters B but has been unable to find the back of the net for the main team yet. Seiminlen Doungel is another player who has the knack of scoring goals.

A positive takeaway for James would be that Kerala has been neat in possession and also created many opportunities in all three games by penetrating regularly -- with good intent -- in the final third.

The defensive combination of Sandesh Jhingan and Nemanja Lakic-Pesic has been great. Even the midfield is doing its job well but James would be keen on finding the best-attacking combination and a go-to man for goals just like FC Goa's Coro and NorthEast United's Ogbeche.

Before locking horns with Bengaluru, however, Kerala Blasters will go up against Jamshedpur FC on October 29 and against FC Pune City on November 2.

These two games should also provide the Blasters' gaffer further insights in making the requisite changes before the all-important clash.
