#4 Despite victory, Bengaluru missed Paartalu and Miku

If one is given the task of picking out the three most important players of Bengaluru FC team, Erik Paartalu, Nicolas Fedor Miku and Sunil Chhetri would have been the picks. Such is the dominance of the two players that no coach would leave out these players from his team. But what can he do if both are injured in the same match?

They were missing one potent striker who already made a name for himself along with a midfielder who does his job quietly. ‘Bhutanese Ronaldo’ Chencho Gyeltsen was given his first start for Bengaluru and Xisco Hernandez was given responsibility to take Paartalu’s place.

Chencho was off-colour for the most part of the game and Chhetri had to take the role of a striker shifting Chencho on the left flank. The Bhutanese failed to take a shot on target and never looked dangerous within the box. Marking him was an easy task for Goa defenders.

Xisco though performed much better than Chencho but not enough as Paartalu. The threat that Paartalu puts on the opposing defence was missing from Xisco’s game. Also, he failed to provide enough balls to Chhetri.
