Hit - Piti

Piti featured in this clash as a central midfielder for Jamshedpur FC and had a very crucial role to play. The Spanish midfielder rose to the occasion and took up the role of a midfield general, especially after the team was reduced to ten players on the field.

Piti managed to open up the three attackers in front of him regularly and the 38-year old created a total of five chances, while also playing out an assist for Castel to set up his side's deciding goal. Given that his partnership with Castel played out very well for the hosts, the same alliance could be an 'X-factor' for them all through the season.

Flop - Vinit Rai

Vinit Rai was consistently a wanting presence at Odisha's midfield. The 22-year old was played as a defensive midfielder, but he failed to match the expectations as Odisha struggled at the centre of the park.

Rai had the duty of distributing the balls to the two wingers, but most of his deliveries went to Nandakumar Sekar, who was struggling on the left flank. On the defensive front, Vinit Rai couldn't offer much support to the two centre-backs as he was nowhere near his best in this game.

Hit - Sergio Castel

Sergio Castel's moment of brilliance in the 85th minute was the difference between the two teams. The Spanish striker was quick to settle into the game and his attacking prowess kept Jamshedpur FC ahead at all times.

Castel had three shots to his name after the 90 minutes of play. The 24-year old linked up well between Farukh Choudhary and Aniket Jadhav but was unlucky to miss out on featuring on the scoresheet after connecting with Farukh's cross in the 73rd minute.
