Video: Indian-origin Yan Dhanda scores well-taken goal for Liverpool U23

The Second Annual Asian Football Awards
The Indian-origin playmaker yesterday scored for Liverpool U-23

Yan Dhanda, Liverpool's teenage sensation, scored a remarkably well-taken goal in the Reds' U-23s 7-0 rout of Bristol City in the Premier League Cup. After the half-hour mark, Dhanda got on the score sheet to score his first and Liverpool's fourth. Meanwhile, Danny Ings was the star on the night as the former Burnley man scored four and assisted two.

It was Ings who provided the assist for Yan Dhanda. The teenager's decisive run was spotted by Ings who played the ball in Dhanda's path. The 18-year-old latched onto Ings' inch-perfect pass and flicked the ball past the Bristol goalkeeper with ease. Liverpool have now collected four points from their two matches in the PL Cup so far and next face Stoke City in December.

Dhanda has impressed so far in the Liverpool U-23 side under manager Neil Critchley in his first season at this age group and has even trained with the first team in February. Recently, Dhanda scored a last-minute winner for Liverpool U-23 against Manchester City to give his side all three points in a crucial league fixture.

Jurgen Klopp is personally tracking the attacking midfielder's progress with the player eyeing a debut for the senior side before he turns 20. Dhanda joined Liverpool four years ago from Chelsea and has represented the Reds from the U-15 team to the U-23s.
