What is the lore behind Aubrey in Fortnite?

Aubrey is a newcomer to the world of Fortnite, and as such, there is no lore associated with her. She was introduced in Chapter 5 Season 2, and to be fair, was rather out of place given the Greek Mythology theme that was ongoing at that time. As such, her arrival went by unnoticed for the most part.

As for who she is, it seems that Aubrey has some experience in explosives and demolitions. This is based on her in-game description which reads, "Get ready for the boom..." Even so, this has no correlation to the storyline in any way. She is also not related to any other character in the Metaverse. This makes it nearly impossible to find a common link for her.

By the looks of things, Aubrey was merely added to the game as just another cosmetic. She could still play a role in future seasons, but for the time being, there is truly not a lot of information to go on. It would seem that Epic Games left things open to interpretation. Since Aubrey is a newcomer to the Metaverse and is relatively unknown for the most part, this will have to be a personal choice. Unlike other more prominent characters, there is no real reason to add her to your locker.
