What is the lore behind Contract Giller in Fortnite?

Contract Giller is one of the many snapshots of Fishstick. However, unlike Fishstick, Contract Giller is a trained hit-fish of sorts. He was featured on the island in Chapter 5 Season 1 as an NPC after The Society appeared in the storyline. His official in-game description reads, "Retirement was nice for Contract Giller. All you can eat fish food, a nice big tank, and a treasure chest filled with bubbles. Then the Society showed up and 'dirtied the water'. It's time to clean the tank."

Judging by the looks of things, Contract Giller was in retirement until The Society came knocking. It can only be assumed that Contract Giller was working alongside Vengeance Jones and Hope to put a stop to The Society once and for all.

In terms of lore, aside from the character being featured on the island at the start of Chapter 5, there is nothing else that connects him to the storyline. Given that Fishstick has mostly been used by Epic Games during cinematic moments and trailers, Contract Giller will likely remain as a backdrop for the most part. On that note, it would be interesting to see what role he plays in the storyline if he's ever added in as more than just an NPC.
