What is the lore behind Headhunter Prime in Fortnite?

There is some lore behind Headhunter Prime in Fortnite, but none of it is important to the storyline. As her name suggests, she is likely the original inspiration behind the “headhunter” model in-game. Although Renegade Raider predates her by years, chronologically Headhunter Prime came before her. For this reason, the character looks rather basic and her design goes back to the OG days of Chapter 1. 

That said, it is believed that Headhunter Prime is a possible snapshot of Maven. However, this cannot be confirmed as many characters use the same model in-game. It would seem that Epic Games left things rather open ended for the community. Headhunter Prime’s official in-game description reads, “It's prime time.” 

Coming back to the lore, she played a small part during a cutscene back in Chapter 2 Season 8. She alongside a few other characters such as Triggerfish and J.B. Chimpanski went to investigate the Purple Cubes that had crash landed on the island after the Kymera’s spaceship had been blown up. She was later rebooted by The Resistance in Chapter 3 and helped Agent Jones fight against Doctor Slone and the Imagined Order.

Should you buy Headhunter Prime in Fortnite? Headhunter Prime is not a very important character in the storyline. However, as mentioned, she is an OG in the truest sense. As such, if you want to collect OG cosmetics or relive the good old days via cosmetics, then Headhunter Prime should be added to your locker. You can even use the character while exploring new LEGO Fortnite seeds.
