What is the lore behind Frigid Foregoer in Fortnite?

There is no lore behind Frigid Foregoer in Fortnite. However, the character in question is rather special. It was designed by Alta, for the June’s Concept Royale in 2021. Out of the thousands of entries, Alta won with Frigid Foregoer and Ladiale won with Nalia. Both of these characters were introduced to the game during Winterfest 2021. Coming back to Frigid Foregoer, the character features a cold-blue skeleton, with a missing eye, and cowboy hat. His attire is reminiscent of the wild west, and he has a holster as well. He could have been a cowboy or outlaw in life.

According to Alta, the design concept idea of Frigid Foregoer being a frozen skeleton just came from his mind. This is due to the fact he loves skeleton skins in Fortnite and that's when he decided to merge the ideas and create the best of both worlds. The character’s official in-game description reads, “Thawed and ready for revenge.” This would suggest that the character was frozen for some time, and has now finally been thawed out. However, it is unclear who or what he wants to extract his revenge upon.
