What is the lore behind the Chaos Scythe in Fortnite?

There is no direct lore behind the Chaos Scythe in Fortnite, but the Pickaxe is associated with a very well-known character. Chaos Agent, formerly known as Chaos Origins is a mad scientist. He was also a secret agent and "The First Redeemed" and founding member of The First Shadows. The character was also the antagonist in Chapter 2 Season 1 and even remained so in the next installment when Midas was introduced to the storyline. He also has two other snapshots/variants called Chaos Double Agent and Chaos Explorer. Coming back to the Chaos Scythe, its official in-game description reads, “Harvest disarray.” This is a reference to Chaos Agent who was fond of spreading disarray in-game.

Should you buy the Chaos Scythe in Fortnite? Well, it all depends on whether or not the lore behind the cosmetic item appeals to you. If you’ve followed the storyline that connects Midas to Chaos Agent (Chaos Origins), Sierra, and The Burning Wolf, then the Chaos Scythe is something you should buy. The Pickaxe is created out of unknown goo-like substance and it looks absolutely brilliant in-game. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use it while exploring new LEGO Fortnite seeds.
