What is the lore behind Vision in Fortnite?

There is lore related to Vision in Fortnite. Since it is a Pickaxe, it’s mostly there to be featured alongside other cosmetics in-game. That being said, Vision is rather unique in its design. It seems almost alive. This is due to the fact that there is a giant eye in the middle of the shovel, which happens to be the object on which it has been designed. The base of the item has spikes. There are spikes around the head of the shovel as well. 

Judging by the way it looks, it can be assumed that the eye, which is blue in color, could represent a cat-eye. It is usually incorporated in jewelry to ward off evil eyes. Its in-game description reads, “Unending gaze.” This is likely a reference to the eye that’s part of the cosmetic.Unending gaze.
