During today’s livestream from Netherrealm Studios, featuring Mortal Kombat X, we were given a small hint about the possible return of Brutalities to the game! The team promised a future live update and even though they were unable to fix a date, they did promise that things would get “brutal” in their next live stream event.
Youtube, TheJayspyder used his keen vision to spot a frame in the below video that said 10% XP bonus for performing a Brutality. The concept of Brutalities was first introduced for the Sega Genesis and the SNES. Brutalities were rather hard to perform, as players were required to press buttons rapidly, in sequence, in a given amount of time.
The finishers were unable to make a return in Mortal Kombat 9 due to time constraints. The live streams also revealed a new stage that would be available in Mortal Kombat X.
