Entire game map for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt revealed

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be releasing this May

A screenshot of the entire game map in the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been leaked online. The game maps, as well as three new screenshots, were uploaded to DSOGaming recently. This is the first image of the map to ever be uploaded online, and it looks pretty huge. You can check out this image below:

It seems that half the image towards the sea on the left has been cut off. This could imply that the map is in fact larger than what appears on the image. There is a ton of wooded areas that players can explore, especially if they want to come across varied monsters and enemies. Also the games largest cities, Oxenfurt (university) and Novigard seem to take up a large chunk of the map, which implies that there is plenty to do and explore in these areas.

Developers CD Projekt RED is yet to reveal exactly how big the games map will be. Many reports have suggested that the map will be much larger than that of Skyrim, which has now become the benchmark in terms of map size. With The Witcher 2, a larger map was not possible since the Xbox 360 and PS3 could not handle the size of the game.

So with the sheer power of the PS4 and Xbox One, it is likely that the map will be pretty huge. But whatever the size is, it is certain that the game will contain a ton of quests and places for players to explore. And with 16 planned DLC’s, it seems like there will be a ton of content to keep players busy for a very long time.
