Famitsu reveals more details on Final Fantasy XV's cooking feature, caves and enivornment

The Final Fantasy XV demo will be releasing on March 17th

The latest issue of Japanese weekly magazine, Famitsu, has included a four page article on the upcoming Final Fantasy XV demo ‘Episode Duscae’, detailing some of the games new features as well as a few cool screenshots.

One of the screenshots featured in the article reveals a red-eye version series protagonist, Noctis. This could imply that the character has a more powerful, dark side to him, although Square Enix has not confirmed this yet.

The article also reveals more about the games unique cooking feature, which grant special bonuses to the games characters. Players will now have the ability to create their very own recipes like Fuwatoro Egg on Toast, and camping while eating food has been encouraged.

The Episode Duscae demo will also allow players to explore the various environments present in the game. These include places like forests, mountains, and plains. The game will also feature a number of caves which will contain loads of monsters that will be more challenging than the ones on the surface. Players who explore these caves will also have the chance to stumble upon some rare hidden treasure.

Lastly, Famitsu has also given us a glimpse of the games quests, which will have markers much like modern MMORPG’s. Players will also get to fight a Behemoth, which will be quite challenging, though Noctis can be revived by his companions if his hit points reach zero.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will include a copy of the Final Fantasy XV demo, though these are exclusive to the first shipment of the game. You can check out the recently released soundtrack for the upcoming game here.
