Microsoft clarifies DRM strategy due to massive Farcry 4 issue on Xbox

Massive issue with Far Cry 4

As players tried to play Far Cry 4 on their Xbox, they encountered a lot of problems. There were errors displayed when the game tried to load. This coincided with the removal of the game from the Xbox Games Store. These issues got the people worried and it was suspected that it was a DRM to blame. After all this happened, Microsoft spoke out to clarify the DRM issue and said,

“On Monday, some users were unable to access their digitally purchased base edition of ‘Far Cry 4.’ Our team has resolved the issue and all access to the title has been restored.”

“If customers own the rights to a game, they can visit their download history and initiate a re-download whenever they please – even if the game has been delisted from Xbox Store and is no longer available for purchase.”

Since the Xbox was made, this is how the trend has always been, the players can re-initiate their download. And in the end Microsoft sounded like the problems have been dealt with and there would be no further issues with Far Cry 4 users/ owners.
