Mods can be both game changing or downright hilarious, as seen in the new Metal Gear Solid V mod.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes released this past March for consoles and earlier this month for PC via Steam. A number of player created mods have cropped up since the PC release of the game, most of which are the usual type. But there is one mod in particular that features Hideo Kojima, and it’s absolutely hilarious.
Hideo Kojima is the Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment and Director of Kojima Productions. He’s a very familiar face in the gaming industry as well as an A class troll. The father of Metal Gear franchise is famous for his constant trolling attempts, the most recent one being a Chicken Hat for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
The latest fan made mod utilizes a hidden in-game model of Kojima in a hilarious way by replacing the main model for Snake with that of Kojima’s. So now instead of Snake, you can play as Kojima in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. In a way, this mod seems very fitting to Kojima’s image. He may have added the in-game model of himself for this very purpose. So we will probably see some more humorous mods involving Kojima in the months to come.
