New Singleplayer mode gameplay video released for Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield Hardline is slated to release on March 17th

EA has uploaded a brand new gameplay video for its upcoming first-person shooter title, Battlefield Hardline. Narrated by Visceral Games creative director, Ian Milham, the trailer is about 12 minutes long and showcases the game’s singleplayer mode.

Battlefield Hardline writer, Tom Bissell, spoke more about the games storyline and direction while revealing the latest singleplayer video. According to Bissell’s statements, the game will pit players at the forefront of the title instead of the plot. Bissell has explained that players will not run into situations where they discover “how evil the bad guys are and how awesome the good guys are.” Every character will have, as Bissell puts it, a “messed up” side to them.

Battlefield Hardline will feature tons of action with a bit of comic relief, but not enough to feel “silly” or over the top. When speaking about the games plot, Bissell remarked that the game “doesn’t reinvent the video-game storytelling wheel. Our goal, however modest it might sound, was to try to achieve a tone that games don’t often have.”

You can check out the singleplayer mode gameplay in the video below. Also be sure to watch the video until the very end, as there is a bit of a surprise that the developers have added.

The beta testing phase for the game ended a few weeks ago and Visceral Games has added a few changes to the games weapons, as requested by many players. It is good to know that they are taking player feedback into account. Battlefield Hardline is slated to release on March 17th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
