The most transferred players in FIFA 17

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Team of the Year card at a rating of 99 is the best in the game

FIFA 17 brings the best in class gameplay to the homes of football fanatic gamers who can now play with accurate versions of their favourite players from the comfort of their own home. Accurate player likenesses, skill attributes and realistic gameplay have made FIFA 17 a must have for any gamer.

One of the most attractive aspects of EA’s FIFA series is the FIFA Ultimate Team feature which allows users to buy and sell players on a virtual transfer market in the form of cards in order to build a team in their own image.

This transfer market works in a similar manner to actual football transfer markets with users having to bid for the players they want with the highest bidder taking the card for himself.

Futhead, a website dedicated to monitoring and studying the FIFA 17 transfer market, comes out with a list of players that are in demand in the current transfer market and are seeing the most activity. On that note, we list out the top five players who are the subject of maximum transfer activity in FIFA 17.

#5 Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2015-2016 season was one where he enjoyed the highest of highs and hardly any lows. He kept up his record of scoring more than 50 goals a season for the sixth straight season for Real Madrid while leading them to a record 11th Champions League title and captaining his country, Portugal, to a European Championship triumph in Paris.

The Portuguese superstar was the best player in FIFA 17 with an overall of 94 before EA decided to release an upgraded version of the forward in a Team of The Year card. The superstar has been rated at 99, with positioning, finishing and shot power all at 99, making his TOTY card probably the best in the game ever.

In spite of such high ratings, the popularity of the Ronaldo card is only 5th. The Ronaldo card comes with a rating of 47 and is probably not so popular due to the fact that FUT teams are already likely to have his previous version which is rated at 94.

#4 Omar Al Soma

Omar Al Soma has been a ray of hope for Syrians with exceptional performances in the Arab League

Omar Al Soma has been lighting up the Arabian league with his performances for Al Ahli this season. The Syrian forward as of 25th March had scored 22 goals and assisted another four in the league while scoring two goals in three games in the AFC Champions League.

His performances have been at such an elite level that he reached the 50-goal milestone in just 45 games for the club.

After his impressive performances, FIFA released an SBC (Squad Building Challenge) card featuring Al Soma. Rated an impressive 84, he has a pace rating of 82 while passing, dribbling and physical attributes are all in the high 80s.

Al Soma’s SBC card has a hotness rating of 48 and has gained six places on the list of most popular players as per futhead’s statistics. He represents a high-quality bargain buy and can make a real difference on the pitch.

#3 Harry Kane

Harry Kane was crowned Player of the Month in February after three hat-tricks in nine games for Spurs

The Tottenham striker is in the form of his life and sits second in the Premier League goalscoring charts with a tally of 19 goals this season. Such is his golden run of form that he managed to score three hat-tricks in the space of nine games, a feat which he accomplished at the end of February.

The updated Harry Kane Player of the Month card is given a rating of 91 by EA after his goal scoring exploits for Spurs this season. Kane’s standout attributes include shooting, dribbling and physicality, all of which see a 90 plus rating, while he is still not the fastest as his pace rating is comparatively lower at 80.

The 91-rated card has a hotness rating of 51 and in spite of his popularity trends being in the negative, he is third on the list of the most popular players in FIFA 17.

#2 Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe’s performances in the Champions League and the Ligue 1 have catapulted him into the limelight and his playing style has drawn comparisons to French legend Thierry Henry.

EA have updated the 17-year-old’s rating on FIFA to 81 after his destruction of the Manchester City defence in the Champions League and have given him pace, shot power and dribbling attributes of more than 80.

The Kylian Mbappe Lottin card is becoming immensely popular on FIFA 17 due to his high potential and attributes. The card’s hotness rating is 54 and transfer trends show that he is here to stay.

#1 Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku’s Team of the Season card is rated 89

The highly-rated Belgian forward seems to have finally realised his potential while playing for Everton under the guidance of Dutch coach Ronald Koeman. The Belgian is currently on top of the goalscoring charts in the Premier League with 21 goals in 29 games for the Toffees and is being linked with a move away from Everton as he sets his sights on Champions League football.

Lukaku’s red hot form was impossible to ignore for EA, who have given his card an overall rating of 89, with shot power and physicality of 92. His pace, passing and dribbling stats are also impressive – all in the higher 80s.

The Lukaku card is currently the most popular in FIFA 17 with a hotness rating of 61 and a trend rating of +8 which suggests that the Belgian’s stock on FIFA is only going to rise.
