Watch: What happens when you play Zlatan Ibrahimovic in goal in FIFA 17

Anything is possible with Zlatan Ibrahimovic!

Or, at least, that is how football fans perceive the Great Swede. One of the greatest strikers of this generation, Ibrahimovic is known to do the unthinkable. He boasts a ridiculous goal-scoring record – he has scored more than 400 goals throughout his illustrious career.

And yet, his fans (okay, some of them) believe he would be a great goalkeeper as well! How else would you justify this FIFA 17 enthusiast’s ploy of playing Ibrahimovic in between the two sticks?

As for Ibrahimovic’s goalkeeping stats, there is nothing to be surprised of. A 6’5” striker who has played up front throughout his career is not expected to be exceptional in goal. In fact, his overall goalkeeping rating stands at only 13 while his reflexes stand at 12.

However, Ibrahimovic is actually pretty decent in goal. As you can see in the video, the Manchester United forward pulls out save after save, as he keeps denying the opposition from scoring time and again.

Throughout the match, the Ibrahimovic’s team is seen dominating over the opposition but every time the Swede is called upon for action, he does not disappoint. Saving headers from corners, punching balls out from the danger zone, fisting fiery shots aimed at goal – Ibrahimovic does it all!

The manner in which he concedes two goals in the later stages is very unfortunate. Both the goals are scored off rebounds with Ibrahimovic parrying the ball but surely he is not to blame for that!

Experiments apart, of course, we will advise you not to use a striker of his stature in goal and waste his goal-scoring prowess. He is definitely more deadly in the opposition’s box.

Food for thought, though, will Jose Mourinho consider playing him in goal at United should David de Gea be unavailable? With the rumours suggesting that the Spaniard will be leaving in the summer, Ibrahimovic might be the ideal replacement – at least in the virtual world! We are sure that the forward himself will be up for the challenge and will pull out many Rene Higuita-esque saves should he play in goal!
