EPL Transfer Gossip: July 23rd 2011

Well, Saturday and looking at all the football news sites to come up with one full transfer gossip column wasn’t easy at all, today. But here it is. Got some Jovanovic news, got some Fabregas news, so a pretty busy day.

Is Jovanovic Finally Outta Here?

I’m a Liverpool fan, and well, when someone’s absolutely ripping us off with their wages, I want them out, hence me celebrating. Apparently, he’s set to get another big money contract in the middle east, with Al-Shabab Riyadh ready to pay up to afford for his current earnings, which is roughly around 60k per week.

It looks highly possible that it might go through, that move, although Anderlecht will still stand in the way.

All of your Arsenal Nonsense Here

On Fabregas, Arsenal are still waiting to see whether Barcelona are genuinely willing to meet their £40 million valuation

The Times

There is no movement at all

Arsene Wenger

Aah, typical Arsene Wenger, to deny the inevitable. But a few papers claim the same basic story, that Fabregas will stay and Samir Nasri will go instead. According to a source, Nasri will not renew his contract with the club and he hopes to bag a move to Moneybags City (Manchester City).

Almunia, Eboue and Bendtner have all been left out from Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Cologne, so they look to be going out, although it was already pretty obvious that they were all set to be leaving London.

Rodwell is available, Arsenal and Manchester United Alert

Moyes is still a big fan of the youngster but, with the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Mikel Arteta among his midfield options, Rodwell is not central to his plans.

The Daily Mirror

So, following Arsenal’s bid for Jagielka, this is happening. Rodwell would I think be perfect for Arsenal especially should Fabregas leave sometime pretty soon. Manchester United, not sure whether they still want him, but they’ve been busy this summer, don’t rule that move out.

Chelsea Sign Barca Academy Graduate

Villas-Boas has confirmed in a press conference in Bangkok that Chelsea FC have in fact agreed a deal for Barcelona La Masia graduate Oriol Romeu. From what I’ve heard, they’ve agreed a fee of 4 million pounds + and Barcelona are set to use some of that money to buy Fabregas.
