The South Asian Games 2019 will be the 13th edition starting from 1st December to 10th December with seven countries from South Asia to take part in 27 games. The tournament will be held in Pokhara and Kathmandu. The first South Asian Games event was hosted by Nepal in 1984.
The host country for the 13th edition of South Asian Games will be Nepal. The event will begin on 1st December 2019 in Pokhara, with the closing ceremony on 10th December 2019. Pokhara Rangasala will be hosting the men’s football, which will have the capacity of approximately 20,000 people.

India will not be participating in 5 out of 27 games in South Asian Games 2019. These sports include Archery, weightlifting, Golf, Karate and Cricket.

South Asian Games 2019 will be held in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. Men's Football will be held in Dasarath Rangasala Stadium, Pokhara.

The host country for the last edition of South Asian Games was India. The event was held in Guwahati and Shilong, in 2016.
India had won the most number of Gold Medals which is 188 along with most number of aggregate medals in South Asian Games 2016
