LIV Golf UK: History, venue, weather and more
This is the third time that the LIV Golf League has come to the UK, with the previous two being held at Centurion Golf Club under the name LIV London. Charl Schwartzel won in 2022 and Cameron Smith won in 2023.
The 2024 edition will be played at the JCB Golf and Country Club, a facility owned by the event's main sponsor, the British multinational JCB, one of the world's leading manufacturers of heavy equipment.
The course measures 7,255 yards and is par 71. It was designed by Robin Hiseman and opened in 2018. Despite its recent construction, it has already been included in Golf Monthly's list of the UK's most exclusive golf clubs.
Temperatures are forecast to be between 52 and 71° F for the weekend of the event. Skies will be partly cloudy all three days, with showers expected on Saturday afternoon. Winds will be light, under 4 mph.
The field for the event includes many English players playing on home soil. Ian Poulter, Tyrrell Hatton, Richard Bland, Lee Westwood, Paul Casey and Sam Horsfield will be in the field.
The field also includes players with outstanding results this season. These include US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, two-time LIV winner Joaquin Niemann and Jon Rahm, who is coming off a top-10 finish at the Open Championship and has nine top-10s in as many starts this season.
