India's golfing sensation Aditi Ashok picked up her third title on the Ladies European Tour with a fine victory at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abhi Dhabi, UAE. She finished with an overall score of 18-under par, after recording a three-under on the final day. She has now won three titles in less than a year, a feat which is unprecedented in the history of India

After three rounds, the Indian enjoyed a two-stroke lead, putting her in the front seat as the final round began. She had scored 67, 66 and 68 in the previous three rounds, taking her to the top of the charts.

The final round saw her finish the first three holes at par, before she bogeyed on the fourth. However, she recovered in fine style to record birdies on the fifth, sixth and ninth holes, ending the back nine with a score of -2.

The 19-year-old continued strongly in the last nine holes and picked up three birdies -- on the 11th, 13th and 15th holes. She looked in a comfortable position to take the win but a double bogey on the penultimate hole meant that she needed to score a minimum of par on the final hole.

Facing an uphill task, the youngster responded in fine style, producing one of the shots of the tournament, on her approach to the green and then was able to comfortably complete the par and as a result, take home the title.

Ashok, who came into the spotlight after her brilliant showing at the Rio Olympics last year, has gone from strength to strength since then. She picked up her first title on the LET at the Hero Women's Indian Open and two weeks later she, followed it up with victory at the Qatar Ladies Open last year.

Earlier this year, she also secured her first-ever Top 10 finish at an LPGA Tour event, with an eighth-place finish at the Marathon Classic in Ohio, USA.
