Aditi Ashok is an Indian woman golfer born on 29th March 1998. She hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. Aditi represents India internationally on Ladies European Tour and Ladies PGA Tour.
Aditi Ashok tried her hands on golf at the age of 5. There were only three golf courses in Bangalore when she picked up the sport. When Aditi expressed her interest in pursuing the sport, her father, Pandit Gudlamani Ashok, drove her to the Karnataka Golf Association driving range.
Aditi Ashok came into the international scene when she became the first Indian to win Lalla Aicha Tour School. This win secured her Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season. That year, she became the first Indian to clinch the Ladies European Tour title at the Women’s India Open.
Aditi made her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is the only Indian golfer to compete at Asian Youth Games (2013), Youth Olympics, Asian Games (2014), and Olympics (2016). In 2017, she became the first Ladies PGA player from India and finished 8th in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings.
In 2018, Aditi Ashok made 17 cuts in 24 events, with two top-10 finishes. The following year, she made 13 cuts in 22 Ladies PGA events, with her season-best finish of T3 at the Women’s CP Open. She recorded back-to-back second-place finishes on the Ladies European Tour in 2019.
Aditi Ashok qualified for her second Summer Games at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Her qualification was confirmed when women’s rankings were released on 28th June 2021.
