Has Scottie Scheffler ever won the US Open?

Scottie Scheffler, one of the most dominant golfers of his time, has never won the US Open. His closest attempt came in June 2022 at the Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he finished one stroke behind Matt Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick closed the tournament at six-under-par with a 274, while Scheffler and Will Zalatoris tied for second at five-under-par.

In Brookline, Scottie Scheffler carded rounds of 70, 71, and 67 to record a -5 total. Scottie Scheffler's US Open debut came in 2016 at Oakmont Country Club as a 19-year-old amateur. He opened with a 69 followed by a second round 78, ultimately missing the cut. Next year, he finished tied for 27th at Erin Hills, earning low-amateur honours.

Scheffler's transition to professional golf witnessed missed cuts in 2019 at Torrey Pines. In 2023, he tied for third at the Los Angeles Country Club. The 2024 US Open at Pinehurst 2 marked the first time Scheffler failed to shoot under par over four rounds, ending at eight-over-par and tied for 41st.

Apart from the US Open, Scottie Scheffler has secured three majors. He first secured the Masters title in 2022, then captured it again in 2024, both times finishing at 11-under-par. In May 2025, Scheffler won his inaugural PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, finishing at 11-under-par and winning by five strokes.

Entering the 2025 US Open at Oakmont Country Club, Scottie Scheffler comes as the tournament favourite with +350 odds.
