$155.65 billion-worth Canadian banking giant sponsor signs 1-year extension with PGA Tour for 2 events

The Royal Bank of Canada has extended its association with the PGA Tour. The PGA Tour recently announced that the Canadian banking giant has signed a one-year extension with the tour for two events in 2025. The two RBC events in the 2025 PGA Tour will be the RBC Heritage and the RBC Canadian Open.

The tour is now fully sponsored for all 36 regular events and three FedExCup playoff events. The PGA Tour has received full sponsorship for the seventh straight season. The extension is for only one year, so it will be interesting to see if RBC continues its association with the tour after 2025.

Along with RBC, Truist Bank has also joined the tour as a sponsor for the first time. The Truist Championship will replace the Wells Fargo Championship and will be played from May 5th at the Philadelphia Cricket Club Wissahickon Course.

The 2025 PGA Tour will have 36 events during the regular FedExCup season, with eight signature events and four major championships. The eight signature events for the 2025 season will be The Sentry, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage, Truist Championship, The Memorial Tournament, and Travelers Championship.
