After almost three rounds of the 2024 Chevron Championship, Brooke Henderson finds herself tied for second place alongside Nelly Korda. She currently sits one stroke behind leader Atthaya Thitikul as she looks to add one more major title to her list.

The Canadian golfer took her last major win at the 2022 Evian Championship, before which she won the Women's PGA Championship in 2016. The last tournament she won was the 2023 HVG Tournament of Champions over a year ago.

With no win so far for Brooke Henderson in the 2024 season, she is hoping to pick up the Chevron Championship title. Feeling hopeful about possibly winning the event, Brooke Henderson said via the LPGA Tour:

""It was on six when I made that par save. It really kept my round alive, and then from there I was able to get things going. I feel like this year I've just played pretty solid, but I haven't really seen that run and kind of had that excitement. That was really fun for me today, and hopefully just do something similar tomorrow."

However, Henderson will face tough competition from Nelly Korda, who is vying for her fifth consecutive win on the LPGA Tour this year. Korda is also the favorite to win going into this weekend and is in search of her second major title since the 2021 Women's PGA Championship.

Brooke Henderson hopes to keep pace with her strong ball-striking skills

Brooke Henderson found her stride on the course on Saturday, hitting a stretch of six birdies and an eagle. She almost finished the third round, with a score of 8-under 59 through 17 holes. With her putting skills maximized this weekend, she feels confident in keeping the pace through the final round of the Chevron Championship as well.

"Anytime my putter gets to working, I'm pretty happy because ball-striking is usually a strength of mine. This week I've been hitting it really well, so when I've been able to make a few putts, it feels really good, and hopefully keep it hot tomorrow."

Atthaya Thitikul held the lead for the tournament midway through round three before play was suspended for the day. Play got suspended due to dangerous weather, and round three will now resume on Sunday, April 21 at 8:00 a.m. ET.
