The LIV Golf 2023 season will begin this week at the El Cameleon Golf Course in Mexico. The three-day tournament will start on Friday, February 24 and will run through Sunday, February 26.

Twelve teams of four players will each compete to win the winner's share of the purse of $25 million. The tournament will return to last year's format of individual and team matches.

The team matches will have a purse of $5 million while the remaining $20 million is secured for the individual event.

The 54-hole format game will have a field of 48 golfers who will compete in 14 different tournaments run throughout the year in seven different countries.

It's the first event of the year. Unlike traditional PGA Tour formats of making cuts after 36 holes, this is a no-cut tournament.

It is pertinent to note that LIV Golf will be televised on The CW Network as they sign a deal with the Saudi-backed series. The event will also be available on their app.
