After a successful WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play outing, the PGA Tour is now headed to the TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course) in San Antonio for the 2023 Valero Texas Open. The event is set to tee off on Thursday, March 30. The four-day event will end in time for the 2023 Masters.

Unlike last week’s Match Play event, the Texas Open doesn’t boast a big field owing to its lesser prize purse as well as its placing on the schedule. Held just days ahead of The Masters, several big-name golfers have taken the week off to prepare for the prestigious event. However, the $8.9 million event still has some top names on its field, including the likes of Rickie Fowler, Hideki Matsuyama, Tyrrell Hatton, and Valero Texas Open defending champion J.J. Spaun.

Unsurprisingly, the top-ranked names also hold the best bets for the Texas Open. According to SportsLine, Tyrrell Hatton is the favorite to win the event at TPC San Antonio. He comes into the competition with odds of 13-1. He is closely followed by Corey Conners (17-1) and Rickie Fowler (20-1). Despite not having won on the PGA Tour since the 2019 WM Phoenix Open, Fowler remains a favorite, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

Hideki Matsuyama (24-1), Matt Kuchar (28-1), and Taylor Montgomery (28-1) are some other names to watch out for at the Texas Open.
