Justin Lower took the lead after the first round of the 2023 Valero Texas Open before the tournament was suspended due to fog. Lower played on the eighth hole and made three birdies and an eagle. He will start the game once the tournament resumes on Friday, March 31, at 7:45 am ET.

Matt Kuchar secured the second position alongside Padraig Harrington, MJ Daffue, Roberto Daiz, and Patrick Ridgers after the semi-finished 2023 Valero Texas Open.
