The PGA Tour is now headed to the Copperhead Course in Florida for the 2023 Valspar Championship. The 21st PGA Tour event of the 2022-2023 PGA Tour schedule, the Valspar Championship, will see 144 golfers compete for the top prize. The event will tee off on Thursday, March 16.

The Valspar Championship has a prize purse of $8.1 million, with $1,458,000 kept aside for the winner. The event, sandwiched between The Players Championship and the Masters, is headlined by the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Justin Rose among others. The event will also see defending champion Sam Burns fight it out on the field for the title.

Apart from the money, the golfers will also be competing for 500 FedEx Cup points and 80 Official World Golf Ranking points, along with exceptions.

2023 Valspar Championship odds

Unsurprisingly, it is Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth that top the odds list for the 2023 Valspar Championship. Thomas comes into the event with 10-1 odds to win. Meanwhile, Spieth follows his friend with 12-1 odds. Defending champion Sam Burns closely follows as the third favorite. He comes into the field with 15-1 odds, followed by Matt Fitzpatrick (18-1).

It is pertinent to note that most betters and experts have their points on Burns. If the golfer manages to win the Valspar Championship, he'll become the first golfer to win the event for three consecutive years. Keegan Bradley and Tommy Fleetwood are other big names on the odds list.
