2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship round 1 suspended. Provisional leaderboard explored

The first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship was suspended on Thursday (Nov. 14) due to darkness. Twenty-one players were unable to finish and play will resume at 07:00 Eastern Time on Friday.

Justin Lower and Hayden Springer were leading the Butterfield Bermuda Championship when the first round was suspended. 27 players trail them by three strokes or less.

Justin Lower carded six birdies and no bogeys to take a share of the lead after the first round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Lower is coming off a runner-up finish at the World Wide Technology Championship and is looking for his first victory in 95 PGA Tour starts.

Meanwhile, Hayden Springer carded an eagle, five birdies and a bogey in the first round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to tie Lower for the lead. Springer is also looking for his first win on the circuit.

Defending champion Camilo Villegas finished the first round 1-over with five birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey. The Colombian is tied for 66th.

Rising star Miles Russell is 2 over on the 17th hole. Russell made headlines a few months ago when he finished in the top 20 at a Korn Ferry Tour event. Weeks later, he made his PGA Tour debut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
