The PGA Tour schedule officially began in 2025 with the Sentry, and the Sony Open in Hawaii is next. Last year, the early portion of the schedule suffered from bad weather. There were so many delays, cancellations, and high wind/rain rounds throughout the beginning of 2024.This year, that may or may not be an issue. At least for the opening round of the Sony Open, there's only a moderate chance of rain playing a role, and the wind isn't expected to be hugely impactful. At 8 AM local time, there is a 20% chance of rain with a lot of clouds in the sky. The winds shouldn't exceed 10 miles per hour. At 10 am, the rain chance stays the same with a rise in temperature. The wind will also pick up a bit, but no more than 15 miles per hour. The wind in the afternoon will get more powerful. At noon, it will reach 18 miles per hour, and it will remain at 20 until about 6 pm. The rain chance also increases starting at 2 pm. The forecast shifts to a "slight chance of showers" with a 25% probability then.At 6 pm, there are "scattered showers" expected, but the round should be finishing up by then anyway. The three subsequent rounds are pretty clear as well. There's a 24% chance of rain on Friday for the second round. The third round has an 18% chance, and Sunday's finale drops to 12% chance of rain. Temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s for the entire weekend, so it should be fine weather that won't delay anything at the Sony Open.Who's going to win the Sony Open? The Sony Open isn't likely to be impacted by weather very much. It could be slightly windy and slightly wet, but golfers should have an unimpeded time this weekend.Who will win the Sony Open?
