The 2023 Players Championship is all set to start on Thursday, March 9, and run through Sunday, March 12 and will feature some of the best golfers in the world. Forty-three of the top 50 World Golf Rankers will participate in the tournament, including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Scottie Scheffler.

However, Cameron Smith, last year's champion, will miss the event following his joining the controversial LIV Golf Series. Some players have remained unnoticed by the public, and here are the five sleeper kicks for the 2023 Players Championship.

5 sleeper picks for the 2023 Players Championship

1) Joel Dahmen

With the release of Netflix's Full Swing, Joel Dahmen has garnered people's attention. The American professional has his eyes on the star-studded Players Championship.

Having turned professional in 2010, Dahmen won three professional events, including one on the PGA Tour. With 500+ points, he is in the top 20 players in the odd picks list. Dahman competed in the US Open in 2022 and finished in T10.

2) Adam Hadwin

Hailing from Canada, Adam Hadwin has won the PGA Tour event once and is looking for his second victory at the 2023 Players Championship. He has won 12 events in his career while playing on Web.com.tour and the PGA Tour.

Hadwin also played in all four major events with the best finish at the 2022 US Open. He has also won two Korn Ferry Tour events. Hadwin competed at the Players Championship in 2022 and finished at T9, so he has a fair target this year to capture the top ranking.

3) Brandon Wu

American professional golfer Brandon Wu is another sleeper pick playing at the Players Championship. He turned professional in 2019 and has since competed on the Korn Ferry Tour before signing with the PGA Tour. He has won one professional event and is looking for his first Tour victory.

4) Robby Shelton

The 27-year-old Robby Shelton has six professional wins in his career so far. He has competed on the Korn Ferry Tour since turning professional in 2016. Shelton has registered victory on six Korn Ferry Tours and is looking for his first PGA Tour win at the 2023 Players Championship.

Shelton is working on every shot to make it great and is a step closer to his victory. He deserves to finish in the top 30 at the event

5) Ben Martin

South Carolina native Ben Martin has won one PGA Tour event in his career. He turned professional in 2010 and began his golfing journey on the Web.com Tour.

Martin has reached number 48 in the world rankings and has competed in all four major tournaments. He cut at the PGA Championship and the Masters while finishing in T64 at the US Open and T26 at the Open Championship.
