Tiger Woods will be back with another edition of the Hero World Challenge this week. It's an unofficial PGA Tour event, established in 2000.
The tournament was initially called the Williams World Challenge but was changed to the Target World Challenge in 2002. From 2008 to 2011, Chevron hosted the event and was called Chevron World Challenge. Then, it was renamed to World Challenge in 2012 and Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in 2013.
Since 2014, Indian multinational motorcycle and scooter manufacturer Hero Motocorp has been the title sponsor of the tournament. The 2024 edition of the Hero World Challenge will take place this week and below are five things you need to know about it.
