Morikawa secured his maiden PGA Tour title at the Barracuda Championship in 2019, which he won by three strokes ahead of the runner-up. He has won two major championships– the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship. Should he claim the title at the 2025 US Open, he will be one step closer to securing a career Grand Slam.

A day before the first round of the 2025 US Open, Collin Morikawa shared a short video on Instagram showing off his powerful swing while on the course. He captioned the post:

He scored 2-under 282, four strokes behind Jon Rahm, who won with a score of 6-under 278.
