Collin Morikawa reveals his 'proudest birdie' from Sentry 2025, Day 3

Collin Morikawa revealed his favorite birdie from the third round of the 2025 The Sentry. The American joined the limited 60-player field for this week's season-opening PGA Tour event. He was phenomenal with his game during the third round of the tournament on Saturday, January 4.

Collin Morikawa shot a stunning 62 in the third round and settled in second place at the event. Following the tournament, he opened up about his game and reflected on his favorite birdie from the round, saying:

"Probably the one on 16. J.J. and I kind of had like different views on how to hit the shot in the first cut. I told him how I was going to hit it, exactly how I did, and it was nice to have a little tap in birdie."

On Saturday, Collin Morikawa started his game with a birdie on the first hole. He then made two back-to-back birdies on the third and fourth holes, followed by an eagle on the par-5 fifth. He added another birdie on the ninth. On the back nine, he carded five birdies and shot a bogey-free round of 11-under 62.

Morikawa will tee off for the final round of The Sentry on Sunday, January 5, at Kapalua at 3:08 pm ET. The tournament will start at 1:20 pm ET, with players starting the game in groups of three on the first and tenth holes.

Morikawa will tee off in a group with Hideki Matsuyama, the tournament's third-round leader, and Thomas Detry, who settled in third place after the Saturday round.
