“Grateful every day” – Sergio Garcia shares a heartfelt message on his wife Angela’s birthday

Sergio Garcia's wife, Angela, turned 39 on Friday, October 25. To celebrate her special day, the veteran golfer shared a heartfelt message on social media.

On Friday, Garcia took to Instagram to wish his wife a happy birthday and posted a heartfelt message, thanking her for everything.

"Happy Birthday to my amazing wife, Angela," he wrote. "Thank you for everything you do for our family. We’re grateful every day for the love and strength you bring into our lives."

Sergio Garcia and Angela Akins have been married for over seven years. Akins was born in 1985 to Martin Ray Akins, a former college All-American football player and politician. She was a golfer herself before she began working as a golf reporter for Fox Sports Southwest.

Garcia's only major championship victory came in 2017, shortly after he got engaged. A few months later, the couple got married. They are parents to two children, Azalea and Enzo. Notably, the Spaniard named his daughter Azalea after the flower on the 13th hole at Augusta National.

Sergio Garcia had a memorable season on the LIV Golf circuit, finishing third in the season standings. He secured his first win on the circuit at LIV Golf Andalucía after defeating Anirban Lahiri in a playoff hole. This victory came after three previous playoff defeats.
