Although Luke Clanton played better in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open 2025, he still fell short of making the cut. The young golfer shot a 1-under 69 in the second round to finish at 1-under.

On Friday, June 6, Luke Clanton entered TPC Toronto after shooting a 4-over 74 in the opening round. He started with two pars but made a double bogey on the third hole. He picked up two birdies against a bogey on the next five holes and eventually finished the front nine at 36.

The 21-year-old golfer had a much better performance on the back nine, where he went bogey-free and added two more birdies. However, that wasn't sufficient for him to make it to the weekend as he missed the cutline by two shots.

Luke Clanton was paired with Rory McIlroy for the opening two rounds, and both had to exit early. The five-time major champ had a forgettable outing as he finished at 9-over after shooting 78. Ludvig Aberg, the third player in the grouping, had a better day as he shot another 68 to finish at 4-under after two rounds.

Following the two-day action at the RBC Canadian Open, Cameron Champ holds a two-shot lead at 12-under. He put up another clean sheet and shot a 4-under 66 on Friday. Andrew Putnam jumped 41 spots to second after firing a 62 in the second round.
