LIV Golf has been the talk of the town since its inception in 2022. The Saudi-backed series has often made headlines for various reasons, especially due to its legal battle with the PGA Tour.

A fan account, Patton Orr, took a jab at the controversial series for its inability to get the desired Twitter account name because of a junior golfer.

Olivia Powling is a 33-handicap welsh junior golfer whose Twitter account is @LivGolf, resulting in the newly formed series using @Livgolf_league for their Twitter handle.

Orr explained in her tweet:

"I'm chuckling at the fact that LIV (@Livgolf_league) can't get their preferred Twitter to handle because of 33-handicap Welsh junior golfer named Olivia @TheShotgunstart."

LIV Golf is pretty active on social media and enjoys a decent following. Interestingly, the inaugural season of the tournament was also streamed on their YouTube channel.

They have 225K followers on Twitter, 159K on Facebook, 255K subscribers on YouTube, and 463K on Instagram.

The second season of LIV Golf started on February 24 in Mexico and will continue until Sunday, February 26.

It is pertinent to note that LIV Golf has now signed a deal with The CW Network which televises their tournaments throughout the year on their channel and app.

"She’s probably more entertaining than LIV"
"They can afford to shell out a $200 mil signing bonus to lefty but can’t get this Twitter handle? Money talks haha"
"Put Olivia on the Cleeks and watch them move up the rankings."
"Omg everyone go follow her"

The winner of the individual event will take home a cheque of $4 million while the team event winner will receive $1.5 million which will be distributed among the four players in the team.

Six new players have joined the series this year. The new season has a lot of surprises for the fans. There is a change in the team name and also in the logo of the teams.

Last year's champion 4 Aces GC has topped the power rankings this year. The team is once again led by Dustin Johnson, who won the LIV Golf in 2022.
