Tiger Woods' name isn't registered in the field of the 3M Open and hence the American won't be a part of the PGA event. Woods last appeared at the Open Championship, where he failed to make the cut. The cutline was set at +6, and Tiger Woods' +14 landed him outside the cutline.
This wasn't the only cut Woods missed this year. Before the Open Championship, he missed the cutline at the US Open with 74 and 73 over the two days. He also missed the cutline at the PGA Championship after registering scores of 72 and 77 following rounds one and two. The only tournament Tiger Woods completed was the Masters Tournament, where he finished at T60.
As far as the rest of the PGA schedule is concerned, Tiger Woods isn't playing this week in Minnesota, and that leaves room for the last PGA regular season event, which is the Wyndham Championship. But, there's been no official declaration from Woods or the tournament’s official page whether the 15-time-major winner will play or not.
Last year, Tiger Woods played at the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship. Thus, it's to see whether Woods confirms his participation in these fall season events or not.
Leaving behind Tiger Woods, which golfers are playing at the 3M Open?
The field will have 156 players, competing for $8.3 million. This year, Lee Hodges, who's the defending champion of the event, will come back. Other notable names in the field are Kurt Kitayama, Lucas Glover, Joel Dahmen, Beau Hossler, and others.
