Chase Koepka was recently inducted into the University of South Florida's Hall of Fame. Brooks Koepka and his wife Jena Sims were also present to witness his brother Chase's incredible moment.
They visited the University of South Florida to attend the induction ceremony and then traveled to the Raymond James Stadium to watch the South Florida Bulls take on Navy Midshipmen. During the game, Chase was honored on the field as well, with Brooks, Jena, and their son Crew celebrating this occasion from the stands.
Sims shared the video and some moments on her Instagram story with the caption:
"Celebrating Chase Koepka HOF."
The 35-year-old also revealed that this was Crew's first-ever football match. She shared an image of her son wearing a University of South Florida Bulls jersey and wrote:
"Crew's first football game."
Unfortunately, the Florida Bulls lost the game as Navy Midshipmen won with a score of 28-7.
Earlier, the five-time major winner had also shared an image from his younger brother Chase's induction ceremony and said he was proud of him.
Chase Koepka's performances in college golf
Chase Koepka joined the University of South Florida in 2012 and played there until 2016, earning some incredible accolades for the university. Chase registered four wins, including 23 top-10s in 130 rounds.
During the 2012-13 season, he earned Big East Player and Freshman of the Year awards and posted 16 rounds at par or better. He continued this form in the 2013-14 season with two wins and became the first golfer in the University of South Florida history to average less than par all season.
In the 2014-15 season, Chase registered his third win and led the University of South Florida to its best season in program history. In his final season, he registered his fourth win and helped his college make consecutive trips to the NCAA Championships for the first time.
Chase turned pro in 2016 and has competed on various golf tours around the world. He eventually joined LIV Golf in 2022 along with his elder brother, Brooks Koepka.
Unfortunately, he faced relegation after the 2023 season as he struggled to perform and finished 48th in the season-long standings. His elder brother, a five-time major winner, commented on his struggles in an interview in October 2023.
"I know he's working hard," Brooks Koepka said via The Mirror. "I know he's been trying. We've been practicing together quite a bit. Honestly, he's struggling a little bit."
Brooks Koepka, meanwhile, remains an important part of the LIV Golf tour and is also the captain of Smash GC.
